Fun in Durban

My daughter Kate-Lynn has resigned from her 2-year lecturing post in Durban and is relocating to Korea in days for a year's English teaching post...

So it's a bit of fun and good times.. before the big move...

Best sunrises

There is something glorious living near the sea.. just to see the magnificent sunrises over the Indian Ocean as well as incredible moon rises at full moon.

Sunrise captured from my bedroom

First GoPro Movie

Getting ready for our flight in our plane to Mocambique, I have made my first GoPro movie.. this one of The Terrace where we live in Durban. Going to get some practice in so that I can take some awesome clips of the flight to Inhambane, as well as our March trip to Amsterdam, Berlin and Munich.

Full moon over Durban

Here's a pic of the full moon rising up over the sea, taken from the small garden off my Apartment in Durban. The Moses Mabhida World Cup Football Stadium is in the background.

The week that was

I forgot to take photos the last week, but did some fixingup around the home.. put up the clock Kate-Lynn made for me, a new towel rail in the bathroom, fixed the guest loo and planted some herbs. I also made a pretty decent chicken curry and made potatoe salad.. part of my 2010 pact to experiment and make a few new recipes each month.

I have also been looking at property on the net.. keen to buy a little place in either the centre of Cape Town or the de Waterkant area. We will be going down on the 1st October to see if I can finalise something. Wouldlike a 1-bed loft apartment for our own visits there and also to refer guests to who are visiting Cape Town after staying with us in Durban.
